Seong Mi-na is a bit superior due to having better zoning and speed. Like Kilik, Seong Mi-na has her fair share of moves that can benefit her thanks to her long-ranged weapon and unique playstyle. If you want a lance-wielding fighter who can chain moves with ease, then he is an excellent pick. While he is not necessarily the best, he is not a terrible choice either. Kilik becoming the main protagonist in the story mode of Soul Calibur VI might be a great thing, but does it help him hold on his own as a capable fighter? To that, the answer is yes. While it is not necessarily a bad thing, damaging herself to change emotions can be a risky move, and players who are confident playing as Tira will know when it is okay or not okay to do it. Whether to be Jolly or Gloomy is a sticky situation for dishing out damage and combos. Tira has always been a difficult character to master, and to this day, it is no different. Still, he is not necessarily the worst pick out of the roster in Soul Calibur VI. But with the updated fighting mechanics and new characters arriving in future installments, Mitsurugi has passed his glory days. He has mid-range moves which helps him attack opponents at a good distance. Like the previous entry, Mitsurugi used to be one of the popular choices for tournaments and online play. Players who still main Raphael will have to mix up some interesting maneuvers to make the French nobleman unpredictable. It’s a shame that he got nerfed, but he is a fun character in his own right. He is versatile, but his Soul Calibur II incarnate will always reign supreme. Raphael is one of the veteran characters who managed to get into the Soul Calibur V roster, but just like the previous game, he is considered low tier in competitive play. With that said, he can be predictable with his combos, so while he isn’t necessarily a terrible choice, players will have to be creative to pull off a fantastic Zasalamel. He used to be a tricky character to play as, but recently, he is easier to pick up thanks to the release of Soul Calibur VI. Zasalamel is a rather mixed bag when it comes to his fighting style. This intriguing sorcerer who debuted in Soul Calibur III makes his return after being cut from Soul Calibur V. Players who main other characters with high experience will be able to defeat this seemingly cheap character. That is one of the main problems with the Azure Knight since while he is easy to use, he does not have a high combo count to be considered “good.” Like with Astaroth, high damaging moves do not always mean an instant victory. Nightmare is one of the easiest characters to pick up in Soul Calibur VI. Those that choose to pick this fighter will have to be very experienced to master Astaroth. He is rather slow, which gives him a disadvantage against agile and speedy characters. While he does have the high damaging moves, his recovery does not help him fare to the rest of the characters. Astaroth (C Tier)Ĭoming at the bottom of this list is Astaroth. It is also likely that he will not be playable in future tournaments. He is not necessarily bad, but him being unplayable online shows that he is just too good for any of the characters in Soul Calibur VI. However, due to him being banned in online play, it is best that he is not officially ranked. He is incredibly powerful and has the potential to be a high tier character.
